Blogger just published an article about using Google Adsense to drive traffic to blogs. Once we get past the nepotistism in Blogger promoting Adsense, a lot of what Biz Stone writes does make sense.
At least it would AT ANY OTHER TIME OF THE YEAR EXCEPT CHRISTMAS.
During Christmas, people are out or if they're online, they're more likely surfing for Christmas gift ideas. No one has enough free time to spend on surfing for blogs! Now, I'm not saying your advertising money will go to waste, but it won't be as efficiently spent than it would AFTER New Year.
It's downright irresponsible of Blogger to publish this sort of thing! Yeah, I know they want to drive up sales and line their pockets during a period of consumer spending flush, and there's nothing wrong with that. But giving advice with KNOWLINGLY bad timing for the consumer is in extremely poor taste.
