When tackling a new brand management client, one of the first things I do is to visit their website and simulate a Google search (like how the client's customers would search) for its competitors. Besides finding out how they compare with each other and how each markets themselves, I need to know how they stack up in Pageranks. It's important to know what I have to deal with as far as search engine optimisation is concerned.
I would enter all the URLs of the client and its competitors into a pagerank calculator. But it's quite tedious. So fortunately, Nick Stallman has created a Google Toolbar with instant Pagerank calculator built in. And it works on Mac browsers.
